Polestar has decided to come at the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. And since the manufacturer hasn’t a new car to show us, the officials have decided to unveil a new Driver Monitoring System.

According to Polestar, this new feature will be introduced on the Polestar 3 SUV. Basically it is an advanced driver monitorin system which can track the driver to ensure he is paying proper attention while driving.

The new system features a two closed-loop cameras that feed into an Nvidia-powered central computer. The system will be able to deliver warning messages and sounds if the driver is distracted, drowsy, or disconnected.

“This technology addresses some of the main reasons behind fatal accidents and can help save lives by prompting the driver to refocus attention on the road – and can initiate preventive action when they don’t, or can’t,” said Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath.
