Polestar is a young car manufacturer which started its life as Volvo’s performance arm. Recently, the Swedish car manufacturer is aiming for electric performance, and the first two models are making some important statements.

But Polestar had a surprise. The new Polestar 3 has been teased. It will be a performance electric SUV and, more than that, it will be built in the USA. Unlike the Polestar 1 and 2, the model will be manufactured at Volvo’s plant in Ridgeville, South Carolina, where the S60 midsize sedan has been in production since August 2018 (the launch of the facility).

Also, the Polestar 3 is the first electric model for the company that will use a dedicated platform. The Polestar 1 was a plug-in hybrid, while the Polestar 2 was based on the CMA platform.
