Back in 2019, Peugeot unveiled a concept car of the current 508. Its name was Concept 508 Peugeot Sport Engineered and back then, the French car manufacturer said it would have a production version.
And here it is. This is the production model named Peugeot 508 PSE, which is also the brand’s most powerful road car developed until now by the French manufacturer.
Under the hood of the 2021 Peugeot 508 PSE is a petrol unit with 1.6 liters and two electric motors. The combustion engine has 197 horsepower and 300 Nm. The front motor electric unit has 109 horsepower and 320 Nm while the rear unit has 111 HP and 166 Nm.
In total, the 2021 Peugeot 508 PSE delivers 355 horsepower and 520 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an automatic transmission with eight gears. As a result, the 508 PSE can run from not to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds, while the top speed is limited to 250 km/h. In electric mode, the car can run up to 135 km/h.
