The French from Peugeot have recently unveiled the rally version 208, a vehicle which is dubbed the R2 and represents the "ideal choice for those who want to get their first taste of rallying or simply enjoy their passion."
The 208 R2 looks pretty similar to the regular version 208 that was launched in Europe in April, with some of the features differentiating the two including the rally specific livery, the sports tuned suspension that uses three-way adjustable dampers, plus a bespoke, adjustable hydraulic
bump stop developed in association with our
supplier Ohlins, a hydraulic steering system and new brakes that use single Alcon callipers.
The engine inside the Peugeot 208 R2 is a naturally-aspirated 1.6-litre unit rated at 105 HP and 190 Nm of torque, with the shifting handled by a 5-speed manual gearbox connected to a limited slip diff.
As you would expect, the interior is fitted with racing seats and a roll cage, so if you want one of these be ready to pay 37,500 Euros for the version equipped with the asphalt and gravel kit, or 57,500 Euros for a fully build model.
