EDAG Light Car – Concept for Geneva
Edag – the German design firm, has just prepared an all new concept packed with new technologies for the 79th Geneva Motor Show edition. It is called the Edag Light Car – Open Source and it features a basaltic fiber body that is much like carbon fiber but cheaper to produce and completely recyclable.
Other notable innovations are the LED lighting technology that the EDAG Light Car uses and also the intelligent electric drive systems installed in the wheels that power it.

GM receives second loan installment of 5.4 billion
General Motors confirmed that it has received the second installment in the amount of 5.4 billion dollars late last night when the government finalized the last details and transferred the money. This second installment is part of the 13.4 billion dollars government loan promised by former President Bush and even though it came a few days later than promised it still came in time to keep the company alive beyond March 31.

BMW Sauber F1 2009 video
The BMW Sauber racer is ready to take on the 2009 Formula 1 Season. It is KERS equipped witch is short for Kinetic Energy Recovery System and although BMW’s team leader Mario Theissen said they are not sure if they will use the system or not everyone expects that the car will be amazing in terms of performance.
How will the KERS system work? Apparently it collects energy when the car brakes and at the push of a button it will be able to supply an extra 80 HP for a 6.67 seconds period of time.

2009 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss
The next big thing coming from Mercedes, waiting to be revealed to the world at Detroit in January is the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss. Mounted with a supercharged V8 and unleashing 478 kW/650 hp the new SLR Stirling Moss will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 Km/h in 3.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 350 Km/h (210 Mph). The price for reaching that kind of speed in the Mercedes SLR McLaren Stirling Moss will be 750,000 Euros and only a number of 75 will do so as Daimler states that will build no more than that.
