The new Audi A4 allroad quattro made its first contact with the world today at the Geneva Motor Show. It is basically a A4 Avant Wagon with a robust look and increased ground clearance of 180 mm. The 2010 Audi allroad quattro will have 3 types of engines at its disposal namely the 170 hp 2.0 liter TDI the 211 hp 2.0 liter TFSI and the sportier 240 hp 3.0 liter TDI equipped with a V6 that can reach a top speed of 236 Km/h and takes 6.4 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph. Volkswagen Polo BlueMotion Concept at Geneva 2009
Another world debut from Volkswagen at Geneva this year. This time the German automaker impressed with a concept car named the BlueMotion that needs only 3.3 liters of fuel to cover 100 Kilometers or 71.3 mpg. With this kind of performance the Volkswagen Polo BlueMotion Concept is the world’s most fuel efficient five passenger car. The engine that makes it all happen is a 1.2 liter TDI with 74 hp and 87g/km of CO emissions. 2010 Volkswagen Polo unveiled
Volkswagen has just released full details and photos of their new Polo marking its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show and what we found out was plenty of good news. For example the new 2010 Volkswagen Polo will have seven motorisation versions out of witch three will be TDI’s (turbo diesel direct injection) ranging from 59 to 103 hp, it will be equipped with ESP as a standard and its fuel consumption will be greatly improved thanks to a 7.5% weight loss. Also in Europe dealers could start getting orders for the 2010 Volkswagen Golf as soon as this week as for the US that could happen somewhere in 2010…
Mitsubishi MiEV Sport Air and i MiEV debut at Geneva
Two Mitsubishi models had their world debut today at the Geneva Motor Show. They are the i MiEV SPORT AIR and the i MiEV Concept and both run on lithium-ion batteries and use a unique rear-midship layout that determines having a longer wheelbase that provides more interior space. Compared to the i MiEV Concept the i MiEV SPORT AIR has a sportier electric engine that outputs 230 N-m with 50 more that the concept version and also weights 100 Kg less. These two models are part of Mitsubishi’s green strategy and will start selling in Japan later this year as for Europe the i MiEV will probably get sold in a rebadged version.
2010 Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce revealed
Lamborghini has just revealed its latest model – the 2010 Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce witch represents the fastest and most powerful car that the Italian manufacturer has ever built. Cayenne sales rise for January 2009
Porsche has just reported that the Cayenne model registered a 10% increase in sales for the month of January 2009. Porsche sold 1,010 Cayenne models to customers in North America and even though the numbers look promising the car company from Stuttgart still struggels with a tough market in USA and Canada.
