2011 Chevrolet Cruze Eco and RS
Besides offering a preview with the 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Wagon , GM has also scheduled two other debuts for the 2010 New York Auto Show, and these are the 2011 Chevrolet Cruze Eco and RS versions.
The 2011 Chevrolet Cruze Eco comes with a highly efficient turbocharged 1.4-litre Ecotec engine that produced 138 HP (103 kW) and 200 Nm (148 lb-ft) of torque and which is linked to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Thanks to this engine the 2011 Chevrolet Cruze Eco promises to return 40 mpg (highway) and some of the other fuel reducing measures that have been taken include various aerodynamics improvement
2011 Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon Specs
GM has revealed details and full specs with its new 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon that will premiere at the 2010 NYIAS at the end of this month.
The 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon joins the company’s range of performance cars after the CTS-V Sedan and CTS-V Coupe models.
In the 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon customers will have the same supercharged 6.2-litre V8 capable of unleashing 556 horsepower and 747 Nm of peak torque that is mated to a Tremec TR6060 6-speed manual gearbox, with an optional Hydra-Matic 6L90 6-speed automatic also available.
Volkswagen Golf 6 BlueMotion Rental Car
Car hire company Avis announced that the Volkswagen Golf 6 BlueMotion was added to their rental car fleet.
The Volkswagen Golf 6 BlueMotion rental car will be part of Avis’s Eco Colection scheme that offers customers diesel vehicles with CO2 emissions below 120 g per Km.
The Volkswagen Golf 6 BlueMotion is even more efficient than that thanks to its 1.6-litre TDI engine that produces 105 PS and emits 99 grams of CO2 per Km. With this engine the Volkswagen Golf 6 BlueMotion returns 74.3 mpg and can cover almost 900 miles on a single fuel tank.
500000th Fiat 500 Produced
The Italian automaker announced it has produced the 500000th Fiat 500 at the company’s plant in Tychy, Poland.
The 500000th Fiat 500 rolled of the assembly line last week, and the car had a Funk White body finish with a 69 HP 1.2 engine under the bonnet and featured the Start&Stop system.
The Fiat 500 is currently being sold in 83 different markets worldwide, from Italy to Brazil and South Africa to Japan, and this 500,000th unit milestone was achieved after only 21 months sits its launch.
NOVITEC Ferrari California with 606 HP
A while back we presented you NOVITEC’s first upgrades for the Ferrari California and now the tuner is back with yet another package that will squeeze even more power from the hot Italian supercar.
By fitting the 4.3-litre V8 with a new supercharger the NOVITEC Ferrari California is now able to produce 606 HP (446 kW) and 485 Nm of peak torque which means it can accelerate from 0 to 100 Km/h in less than 3.8 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 325 Km/h. These new performance figures are pretty good considering the stock version Ferrari California packs 460 HP.
2011 Infiniti QX56
Images with the 2011 Infiniti QX56 have leaked onto the Internet before the SUV’s official debut at this week’s New York Auto Show.
The 2011 Infiniti QX56 is obviously inspired by the recently introduced 2010 Nissan Patrol, especially when viewed from the side, while the front and rear have been redesigned according to Infiniti’s ‘upscale’ design principles.
2011 Mercedes R Class
Mercedes will introduce the facelift version 2011 Mercedes R Class at this week’s New York International Auto Show.
With the new version 2011 Mercedes R Class, Daimler is hoping to boost sales in this segment, and even though nothing major has been changed at the inside, the exterior however got a fresh new appearance that actually looks pretty good. Besides the larger front bonnet, the 2011 Mercedes R Class has also received redesigned spoilers with LEDs at the front, new headlights that reassemble to ones on the ML plus revamped taillights.
Hennessey Venom GT officially unveiled
The Hennessey Venom GT was officially unveiled by the North American manufacturer after many teaser photos and sneak peeks with the Lotus Elise based supercar.
The Hennessey Venom GT is powered by the same 6.2-litre LS9 V8 engine found in the Corvette ZR1 that received extensive modifications so it can now output 725 BHP, which get sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed transmission from Ricardo. The US company also announced that it is working on two additional power levels for the Hennessey Venom GT with massive outputs of 1000 BHP and 1200 BHP.
Renault Twingo Gordini 133 Price
The French manufacturer has just announced the Renault Twingo Gordini 133 price and the sporty small car will arrive in dealerships by mid-April 2010.
The Renault Twingo Gordini 133 comes with a Blue metallic finished exterior and two white racing stripes that start on the front bonnet and end at the rear plus redesigned bumpers, new fog light surrounds, and white painted exterior mirrors and rear spoiler.
Peugeot 308 Allure
The newest special edition models launched by the French automaker and which include a series of unique features are based on the Peugeot 308 and have been named Allure.
These models will hit the showrooms in March available with three body colours – Bianca White, Aluminium or Black.
The two Peugeot 308 Allure versions are based on the 5-door hatchback and CC body styles and get extra features like 18 inch alloy wheels and a full black leather interior while additionally the 308 CC will also get Peugeot’s innovative neck heating system.
