3 million miles in a 1966 Volvo P1800
Ever wondered what is the highest mileage vehicle that exists on the road? Well we just found out it is a 1966 Volvo P1800 owned by 70 year old Irv Gordon who has put 2.8 million miles on his sporty red Swedish car from 1966 until today.
By age 73 Irv Gordon wants to hit the 3 million miles mark in his 1966 Volvo P1800 and considering that when he first bought the car he covered 1,500 miles in the first 48 hours, then 200,000 miles in the next 3 years sounds like a task he can accomplish.
2010 Fiat 500 Blackjack
Following yesterday’s teaser images, the newest special edition model based on the Fiat 500 was unveiled today by the Italian company.
Named the 2010 Fiat 500 Blackjack, this unique urban mini-car comes with special features like the opaque black body finish, and various polished elements like whiskers, handles, mirror housings and door-plate. The 2010 Fiat 500 Blackjack has also received a set of 16 inch alloys wheels with a red frame station and red painted calipers on the 1.4-litre 100 bhp version.

Volkswagen has revealed additional images as well as info regarding the 2011 Volkswagen Jetta price for US.
The 2011 Volkswagen Jetta is 182.7 inches long (3.45 inches longer than the previous generation), 57.1 inches tall and 70.1 inches wide and production will take place at the automaker’s plant in Mexico.
The engines that are offered on the 2011 VW Jetta in the US have a power range from 105 PS (77 kW) to 200 PS (147 kW) and a 140 PS (103 kW) TDI Clean Diesel that returns 42 mpg (34 mpg combined) is also included.
Smart ForTwo Limited Silver
This is probably the last special edition version Smart ForTwo based on the outgoing model, as the new generation which was recently revealed will hit the market this fall.
Named the Smart ForTwo Limited Silver this special model is based on the Passion trim level and will feature the special silver or gray paint coating, the Smart Radio 9 CD player with MP3, a lockable glove box and the Smart Drive Kit for the iPhone or a Bluetooth speaker phone.
Suzuki Kizashi price
The Suzuki Kizashi price for the German market has been announced, with sales scheduled to start in autumn 2010.
The 2010 Suzuki Kizashi will be offered with two gear and drive options which are a manual 6-speed transmission and front-wheel-drive or a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) and all-wheel-drive.
Honda Insight Hybrid revised
Honda has revised the Insight Hybrid model which now comes with improved specifications and settings.
Starting with the suspension the Honda Insight Hybrid is now offering a more comfortable ride, while at the interior the manufacturer adds black leather upholstery, a DVD satellite navigation and hands-free telephone equipment.
The features mentioned above can also be found in the newly introduced range topping Honda Insight Hybrid EX version, while on the ES variant the manufacturer adds rear parking sensors and a cabin that features higher quality materials and new chromatics.
K1 Attack roadster
This is the K1 Attack roadster built by 26 year old Oliver Ashely, a senior technical manager at a Mercedes dealer in Bristol. The K1 Attack roadster was born of a small Slovakian producer, and involved no less than 4,000 hours of work and 70,000 GBP, not to mention lots and lots of skills and talent.
Powering the K1 Attack roadster is a remapped and tuned Honda Civic type R sourced 2.0-litre engine that develops 246 bhp and which also uses the Honda type R six-speed manual gearbox. Some custom work in the engine department involves light weight racing batteries, HKS inlet air intakes, colour coded and polished hoses and pipes, and a supercharger conversion is also scheduled to be fitted in 2010.
Renault Megane Generation
The French manufacturer is introducing a cut-price Renault Megane version named Generation based on the 5-door hatch and customers can already start placing their orders.
The Renault Megane Generation comes as a replacement for the Extreme trim level and as far as motorisation customers can choose between the 1.6 100 petrol or the 1.5 dCi 90 FAP diesel engines. Both units will be mated with a 5-speed transmissions and some of the features on the equipment list include 4x15W radio CD with fingertip remote controls and aux input, air conditioning, cruise control, electric door mirrors and front windows, ESC, hands free keycard and speed limiter.
Bloodhound SSC 1000 mph car
This pointy looking thing is the prototype version Bloodhound SSC 1000 mph car, and was revealed at the Farnborough International Airshow.
The super sonic Bloodhound SSC which measures 12.8 meters in length comes after three years of aerodynamic development and will be the first ever vehicle which will attempt to brake the 1000 mph speed barrier.
H&R Porsche Panamera V6 4WD
It looks like H&R wants to lower the suspension on every single car model, and this time they worked with the Porsche Panamera V6 4WD version which now sits 35 millimeters closer to the ground.
Besides developing this new spring set that enables slightly sharper handling on the H&R Porsche Panamera V6 4WD, the company will also offer an electronic lowering system (ETS) design especially for cars with air suspension.
