2012 Hyundai Veloster
The all new 2012 Hyundai Veloster has premiered at the 2011 NAIAS today, and in case its design seems a bit ‘different’ then we inform you that this is a three door coupe, which wants to combine sportiness with efficiency (just like the Honda CR-Z).
With a direct-injection 1.6-litre Gamma inline-four cylinder engine underneath its metal sheets, the 2012 Hyundai Veloster is able to develop 138 HP @ 6300 rpm and 123 lb-ft of torque @ 4850 rpm which the Korean automaker thinks are enough to make this car playful enough, considering it weights only 2,584 pounds.

Toyota Prius C Concept
Apart from the Toyota Prius V hybrid minivan, the Japanese automaker has also unveiled the Toyota Prius C Concept at the NAIAS 2011, which basically represents a hint of what to expect from the company’s future small hybrid.
The Prius C Concept is a city centric vehicle (hence the letter c), which is part of Toyota’s plan of “broadening the appeal of Prius to all ages and lifestyles”. This includes “young singles and couples who want an eco-sensitive, high-mileage, fun-to-drive Prius”.

2012 Toyota Prius V
The Japanese car maker has released photos and details with the 2012 Toyota Prius V, as their new hybrid minivan had its world debut at this year’s Detroit Motor Show.
The similarities between the regular 5-door version and the 2012 Toyota Prius V are not only in terms of design, as both cars share the same platform, while the new hybrid minivan promises a 50 percent more space inside its cabin.

Kia KV7 leaked photos
The Korean automaker’s teasing game is over, as a pair of leaked photos that have just surfaced on the web reveal the Kia KV7 concept ahead of the car’s official unveiling at the 2011 Detroit Motor Show.
We still can’t say anything else about the Kia KV7, other than this is a crossover styled by the automaker’s studio in California, featuring gullwing doors for the rear passengers, unique LED headlights and a futuristic looking interior with rotating seats for enhanced versatility.

2012 BMW 1 Series M Coupe price
As both the 2012 BMW 1 Series M Coupe and the 2012 BMW 6 Series Convertible have made their debut at the 2011 Detroit Motor Show today, pricing for the latest Bavarian models going on sale across US this Spring, was also announced.
The 2012 BMW 1 Series M Coupe price will start at 47,010 USD while the 2012 BMW 6 Series Convertible price start at 91,395 USD, both including the 875 USD destination and handling fee.
The 2012 BMW 1 Series M Coupe comes with a 3.0-litre inline-six twin-turbo engine under its bonnet which is able to spit out 335 HP and 450 Nm of torque, and also thanks to which the car will require 4.7 seconds when accelerating from 60 mph from a stand still.

Ford Vertrek
The star at the Blue Oval stand, at this year’s edition Detroit Motor Show is the new Ford Vertrek, which is a concept that offers a preview of the next generation SUV that will come as a replacement for the Kuga.
According to company insiders, the new Ford Vertrek is expected to be launched on the market sometime in 2012, with a EcoBoost engine under its bonnet, (1.6-litre petrol with stop-start technology) and with more legroom and boot space than the Kuga.

Chevy Volt wins 2011 North American Car of the Year
The new Chevy Volt won the 2011 North American Car of the Year award after a jury of 49 automotive journalists from the U.S. and Canada from various magazines, websites, radio shows and TV have preferred GM’s model over competitors like the Nissan Leaf and Hyundai Sonata.
The Chevy Volt offers a driving range of 379 miles, thanks to its powertrain which consists from a regular petrol engine and a 16-kWh lithium-ion battery pack that enables zero-emission driving for up to 35 miles.

Porsche 918 RSR video
In a second Porsche 918 RSR video, this time published on the automaker’s YouTube channel, Michael Mauer, Chief Designer at Porsche AG Design speaks about the forces and ideas behind their new single seater coupe race car, which impresses in terms of both technology and appearance.
The Porsche 918 RSR works on the same principles as the 911 GT3 R Hybrid, which means a traditional engine mated with two motors and a flywheel generator, but this time with added power and traction.

Porsche 918 RSR
Porsche has unveiled the Porsche 918 RSR which is racecar concept based on the Porsche 918 Spyder concept first seen at the Geneva Motor Show last year.
The Porsche 918 RSR mid-engined coupe that uses a direct-injection V8 borrowed from the RS Spyder which generates 564 HP @ 10.300 rpm and two electric motors on the two front wheels, each providing an additional 75 kW which are backed by a flywheel accumulator that recharges upon braking.
This whole hybrid powering system used by the Porsche 918 RSR packs 767 HP, and according to Porsche, the two electric motors on the front axle, are also enabling torque vectoring distribution, which means increase agility and improved steering response.

2012 Ford C-MAX photos and details
The Blue Oval has published full details and an official photo gallery with the North American version 2012 Ford C-MAX, which besides featuring a stylish design, flexible seating and plenty of interior space, is also the best in its class when it comes to fuel efficiency.
The 2012 Ford C-MAX is basically the American version of the Grand C-Max which is sold in Europe, available with two engine choices that include the automaker’s 2.5-litre I4 plant which comes mated to an automatic 6-speed transmission and the 1.6-litre Ecoboost unit which combines high-pressure direct injection, low-inertia turbocharging and twin independent variable camshaft timing (Ti-VCT).
