Lotus Renault R31 2011 Formula 1 Car
Robert Kubica and Vitaly Petrov have lifted to covers off the Lotus Renault R31 in Valencia, with the new 2011 Formula 1 competitor being described as aggressive and innovative.
The Lotus Renault R31 is the second car part of next year’s season to be using a Renault engine, with the French manufacturer teaming up with Lotus in a multi year deal. The car features black and gold livery, and among reserve drivers, the Lotus Renault team will use Romain Grosjean, Jan Charouz, Ho-Ping Tung, Fairuz Fauzy, with Lotus recently announcing Bruno Senna to the list as well.
Lamborghini Reventon Review Video
The latest sports car that arrived in Jay Leno’s garage for a test drive, is the fighter jet inspired Lamborghini Reventon which was first seen at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2007, and for which production was limited to 20 exemplars.
The Lamborghini Reventon uses a 6.5-litre V12 that unleashes 650 horsepower @ 8,000 rpm and 487 lb-ft of torque @ 6,000 rpm which get channeled to all four wheels via a six speed manual transmission.
2012 Volkswagen Beetle Commercial Teaser
This 16 seconds footage represents a commercial teaser for the 2012 Volkswagen Beetle. The complete ad will be shown during the 2nd and 4th quarters of Super Bowl, and besides showcasing the new 2012 Volkswagen Beetle, a second commercial will promote the 2012 Passat.
The 2012 Volkswagen Beetle will be revealed on February 6, and this third generation model is expected to be sportier, more efficient and with improved driving dynamics.
Audi R18 completes testing at Sebring
Audi has successfully tested their new LMP1 car, the Audi R18 at the Sunshine State’s Sebring track on Sunday as part of their motorsport division preparation for this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours race.
In fact the automaker has tested two Audi R18 cars and one Audi R15 TDI, with all of the nine factory drivers taking turns, and driving each of the tree sports cars.
2011 Volkswagen Touareg New R Line Package
VW is completing the R Line treatment for the 2011 Volkswagen Touareg with a new package that concentrates on the exterior.
Among the features that have been added in order to make the 2011 Volkswagen Tooareg appear more luxurious, the R Line package includes a textured diffuser in matt black, oval exhaust tips, a redesigned front apron, body coloured side sills, a rear roof spoiler, chrome door trim parts, and the R-Line badge on the side panels.
Project Kahn Porsche Panamera
After customizing the Cayenne SUV, the UK based tuner Project Kahn has decided to turn the Porsche Panamera into an even more exclusive 4-door performance saloon.
The main feature that grabs attention are the new 22 inch alloy wheels, which feature a double spoke design and are wrapped in performance tires, while other discrete upgrades include a slightly modified rear bumper and new exhaust tips.
Video: Ferrari 458 Italia crashed by Ford F 150
In case you wonder how does a 2011 Ferrari 458 Italia end up with a Ford F 150 pickup truck sitting on its bonnet, we will only mention that this time it didn’t involve speeding.
The 458 Italia’s pointy shape might have played a role in it, but according to its owner, Wes Moschetto, CEO of I-Patholohgy, who only had the car for two weeks, the guy inside the Ford F 150 just ‘jetted out’ on-top the Maranello made coupe.
Audi A4 TDIe commercial video
This next commercial video is titled ‘Robot’ and is based on the idea that we all look up someone.
The footage features a tiny robot toy watching television, and seeing an advanced android capable of doing various talks which are usually hard to execute even by humans. Back in the hallway our tiny robot comes across an old toy car, which is as you can imagine is the total opposite to the Audi A4 TDIe, which is all about advanced technology.
Lotus T128 2011 Formula 1 Car
Team Lotus has also unveiled a set of images with their Lotus T128 monopost for the 2011 Formula 1 season, with official specifications expected to be released after the Valencia test tomorrow.
The Lotus T128 is using a Renault sourced V8 engine and a transmission system from Red Bull, and as you probably know Team Lotus is currently undergoing legal proceedings against Group Lotus, over the right of using the Lotus name.
Mercedes W02 2011 F1 Car
The Mercedes W02 which is the Formula 1 car to be used by Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg in the 2011 season will be officially unveiled tomorrow, February 1st.
Until then we have a single image that shows the Mercedes W02 thanks to which you will be able to spot some of the changers that were imposed due to the new regulations. These include the car’s new ‘nose’ which is positioned higher, plus the airbox features a more traditional design.
