The latest manufacturer to announce its vehicle lineup going on display at this year’s 2011 Geneva Motor Show is Skoda.
2010 was a great year for Skoda who wants to maintain momentum and step towards the next level, by introducing a new logo, and presenting a new concept car which will reflect the Czech automaker’s new design language.
Transformers 3 Nascar Daytona 500 Spot
The latest Transformers 3 spot slash trailer that has hit the web, has been aired during the Daytona 500 race, and in case you are wondering what bonds robots and Nascar together…well its Nascar cars duh, or should we say Nascar Transformers.
You will be able to see these new Autobots with American racing heritage in action from 7.1.2011, when Transformers 3 Dark Side of the Moon will arrive in theaters, but untill then you can still get a taste of what this new instalment is all about by hitting the play button on the video below.
Juliani Veela supercar
Ok we know that many of the world’s supercars come from Italy, and its easy for everyone to start naming models from Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti, Pagani, etc.., but here is a new one we bet you never heard of. The Juliani Veela, which is a custom built model representing the work of Juliani Automobili, based on a steel spaceframe chassis with a body made from composite materials in order to keep weight down and power extracted from a direct fuel injected V8.
2011 BMW X3 road test video
FifthGear has tested the new 2011 BMW X3 which if we were to compare it with the previous generation, then we’ll have to say the Bavarian automaker has definitely made big improvements.
Build alongside the X5 and X5 in the U.S. the 2011 BMW X3 is greener, faster and cheaper than before, with pricing on UK’s market starting at 31,000 GBP. Everything about it feels more refined, and in terms of handling the car feels more agile but without sacrificing interior comfort.
Subaru Boxer Sports Car Architecture
Subaru has published a teaser image with what they call the ‘Boxer Sports Car Architecture’ and announced the opening of a special website dedicated for the 81st edition Geneva Motor Show.
The Boxer Sports Car Architecture is based on the technology concept featured by the automaker’s Rear-Wheel Drive Sports Car currently under developed in partnership with Toyota, and it could represent Subaru’s new platform which would have the Horizontally Opposed Subaru Boxer engine at its core.
STaSIS Signature Audi S4
Stasis Engineering is debuting a number of enhancement packages in the UK under the Signature series program which aims at the latest generation Audi S4.
The STaSIS Signature Audi S4 is offered in two different versions, both increasing performance from 333 bhp (344 lb-ft) of torque to 410 bhp (370 lb-ft).
Peugeot at 2011 Geneva Motor Show
If you will attend at 2011 Geneva Motor Show this year, here is what you’ll find at the Peugeot stand. The main highlight will be the world premiere of the 2012 Peugeot 308, plus the French automaker will launch the new 508 on the market and introduce new environmental friendly technologies like e-HDi micro-hybridisation found on both of the above mentioned models.
Peugeot will also showcase the world’s first diesel hybrid, the 3004 HYbrid4, plus the 100 percent electric iOn and the special edition RCZ Asphalt.
BMW i3 and i8
BMW has released fresh information referring to its new sub-brand which is simply called ‘i’ and which will be reserved to hybrids and electric models exclusively.
The first two models to wear the i badge are the BMW i3 and i8, which will both be manufactured at the automaker’s plant in Leipzig, and with market launch scheduled for 2013. BMW will invest 400 million euros in new facilities for this plant and 800 additional jobs will be created.
Techart 2011 Porsche Cayenne Turbo
The well known Porsche tuners from Techart are back with a new power upgrade for the 2011 Cayenne Turbo.
The kit is named the TA 058/T1 and increases output from 500 HP (368 kW)and 700 Nm of torque to 560 HP (412 kW) and 780 Nm. As a result the Techart 2011 Porsche Cayenne Turbo takes just 4.4 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 Km/h, and 15.8 seconds from 0 to 200 Km/h.
