Buick Envision Concept
GM has published a teaser photo with the Buick Envision Concept which will appear in the flesh at this year’s Auto Shanghai 2011.
The Buick Envision is a futuristic looking SUV developed by GM Shanghai and the an Asia Technical Automotive Center (PATAC), and according to its creators, this concept features a combination of global design and local aesthetics in order to satisfy the tastes of the Chinese market.
2012 BMW 1 Series 5 door spied
There have seen a few videos with the upcoming BMW 1 Series 5 door model circulating on the Internet for some time now, but these latest photos from WCF reveal the 2012 model wearing less camouflage.
The 2012 BMW 1 Series 5 door was recently spied doing runs on the Nurburgring test track, and due to the fact that the car shows more skin we are able to conclude that the new model is slightly larger that the current generation.
Cadillac ATS Spy Video
This first Cadillac ATS spy video has made its appearance on YouTube a few days ago, and its shows the upcoming sports sedan being put through its paces during testing at the automaker’s Milford facility in Michigan.
According to the same source that published this video, the Cadillac ATS will be hitting the market in four body versions : a sedan, coupe, convertible and wagon, with a performance version ATS-V expected to be topping the range.
Chrysler 300 S and 200 S Convertible at LX Festival 2011
Even though the Chrysler 300 S and 200 S Convertible have not been officially unveiled yet, the U.S. automaker decided to bring them at the 2011 edition LX Spring Festival held in California anyway, where more there 800 vehicles and their respective owners attended.
These few pictures that show bits and pieces of the Chrysler 300 S and 200 S Convertible were published on the automaker’s Flickr page, but we’re guessing something much more detailed is on its way.
Porsche Panamera Turbo S
Well well…it seems like yesterday’s rumors involving the German automaker working on the Porsche Panamera Turbo S came out to be true, and the good thing is we didn’t have to wait one more month before finding out all we needed to known about this new range topping version.
The Porsche Panamera Turbo S uses the same 4.8-litre V8 biturbo engine as the regular Panamera, but in this case the power level has climbed up to 550 HP (410 kW) and 750 Nm of torque (800 Nm with the overboost function), which means a 10 percent increase (50 HP and 50 Nm).
Mercedes C63 AMG by Wimmer
Wimmer is one of those tuners who like to continuously improve their previous upgrades . And the car in question this time is the Mercedes C63 AMG who received new modifications to the 6.3-litre V8 engine. These modifications include a sports camshaft, reworked cylinder heads, an optimized air intake, custom manifold and catalytic converters plus a stainless steel exhaust system and a sports air filter.
These numerous upgrades enable the Mercedes C63 AMG to unleash 601 horsepower and 720 Nm of torque, which means a power to weight ratio of 2,79 Kg/HP. As a result the new top speed is 329 Km/h and for those who are interested in purchasing this engine conversion, Wimmer says it costs 19,900 Euros.
Video: Ferrari FF Test Drive
Autocar has already driven the new FF, and while they appreciated Ferrari’s new 7 speed semi automatic four-wheel-drive transmission they also said the car’s systems do not allow much interaction from the driver.
Well this latest review comes from AutoExpress who tested the Ferrari FF during the media launch and they pretty much say the same thing. They are definitely convinced that the FF is going to be most exciting car to be launched in the UK this year, and while the 651 HP from under the bonnet combined with the unique FWD system and the practicality of two full rear seats and a large boot is definitely creating an appealing package, there are some minor flaws like the steering wheel which is a little numb sometimes, and the driver experience is not as engaging as in other Prancing Horse models.
Video: Audi R8 Spyder Brazilian Promo
Audi TV promotes the Audi R8 V10 Spyder trough a video filmed on Brazilian land. The scenes depict the topless performance model traveling through this beautiful country and somehow manage to create connections between the 525 HP machine and some of the things Brazil is best known for.
The sound track for this promo is also perfectly matched, and will most likely determine some of you to look it up on iTunes.
CSR Volkswagen Scirocco
Nurnberg based tuning specialist CSR Automotive presents its take on the Volkswagen Scirocco. The car comes with a turbocharged engine and a custom body kit that includes a single frame grille, new side sills, a rear apron styled by O-Line-Design, upper and lower rear wings, headlight trims and a stainless steel dual tailpipe exhaust system.
The CSR Volkswagen Scirocco also comes with a partial, carbon-look foil wrap, and the striking set of alloys from Schmidt Revolution which measure 20 inch in size, are wrapped in Toyo tires ( 235/30 ZR20 front and 285/25 ZR20 rear) and which cost 3,400 Euros.
2011 BMW 5 Series by Wald International
The Japanese from Wald International have turned the 2011 BMW5 Series into a more aggressive looking machine but fitting it with their latest ‘Black Bison’ package.
Besides adding a touch of uniqueness, these new fiberglass-reinforced plastic body components also play a major role in improving the car’s aerodynamics, and they include a new front bumper with restyled air vents and incorporated LED daytime running lights, new side sills, a boot-lid lip and a rear roof spoiler as well as a new rear bumper that includes the custom exhaust system.
