This is the first official photo with the new generation 2012 Subaru Impreza which will debut in both 4-door and 5-door body styles at this year’s New York International Auto Show.

We can’t say much about the 2012 Impreza based on this single side image, but according to Subaru, this new design will “provide a roomier interior and improved levels of comfort and refinement.” It is easy to see that the front and rear end have been completely revamped, but we’ll be able to draw our conclusion once the car gets fully unveiled (April 20th, 2011 at 13:05h).

Daimler has just released photos and details with the Mercedes Concept A Class, a vehicle that points to the direction where the automaker’s production version premium hatchback is heading.

With its 3-door configuration and an overall dynamic appearance that shows a clear connection with the automaker’s previous concepts (the F800 and the CLS Shooting Brake), the Concept A Class features a long bonnet, a low roof line with slim windows areas, a striking front grille, and unique LED headlights and tail lamps.

Sebastian Thrun, the guy who played the most important role in developing Google’s driverless car has provided a series a new details regarding this interesting project that aims towards saving one million lives every year.

These details were offered during Thrun’s speech at this year’s TED Conference, where he said that Google’s autonomous driving technology has been successfully tested for 140,000 miles by Standford University. These tests ranged from navigating desert roads to driving on busy down town streets and journeys on the highways, and besides increasing safety, this driverless car technology is also about reducing traffic jams.

Autoexpress decided to drive the classic Lotus Carton and see how it would measure in comparison with today’s four-seater sports cars. That’s why they also get behind the wheel of a modern day Vauxhall VXR8 which as far as pricing, is just as expensive as the Carton was back in the day, meaning almost 50,000 GBP.

Here are some technical detais regarding both these cars. The Lotus Carton is powered by a 3.6-litre 24-vale twin turbo engine (two Garrett T25s), featuring a dual overhead camshaft and generating 377 PS (281 kW) at 5,200 rpm and 568 NM (419 lb-ft) of torque at 4,200 rpm. The Lotus Carton changes gears through a 6-speed manual transmission and in terms of performance is sprints from0 to 62 mph in 5.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 176 mph.

This next photo which shows Peugeot’s upcoming SUV Concept has leaked online, and according to various sources the car will be unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show in two weeks.

Conceived by Citroen’s Research and Development center in China, the Peugeot SUV Concept represents a project completed by Chinese designers only. The whole staff has undergone a couple of years of traning and has learned techniques of applying an international design to a vehicle, and this SUV concept which remains unnamed at this point, is their first creation.

Lexus has published the first teasers with the LF-Gh Hybrid ahead of the concept’s unveiling scheduled for this year’s New York Auto Show.

The automaker explains that the LF-Gh stands for ‘Lexus Future Grand Touring hybrid’ and as we previously mentioned, the car will serve as a platform, in terms of both design and technology for the new generation 2012 Lexus GS.

Chrysler is offering a peak at its next Moparized model : the 2011 Dodge Charger which can be seen in this first sketch, with the rest of the details and photos expected to be released by the end of April.

Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar said that “After the success of our Mopar ’10 Challenger, we moved on to the iconic Dodge Charger and added even more performance,”

As we can see the Mopar 2011 Dodge Charger features an all black treatment with a blue stripe stretching from one end to the other, along with a front spoiler lip, new side sills and larger alloys that are also painted black.

Subaru decided to sweeten up its deal for the Impreza WRX STI by offering a power upgrade and a sat nav at no extra cost to its customers in the UK.

The 2.5-litre 16-valve turbo engine powering the Subaru WRX STI develops 300 PS and 407 Nm of torque, but for those who are interested in purchasing one of these models by the end of June, the Japanese automaker will offer a free engine upgrade which will enable an additional 20 PS and 43 Nm of torque.

Techart presents two new power kits available for the current generation Porsche 911 Turbo, both complemented by the tuner’s Sport exhaust system that will turn the German sports coupe into a machine that’s even more pleasing to the ear.
