Hyundai i40 Sedan
Hyundai teases the new i40 Sedan through a rendering image unveiled ahead of the world premiere scheduled at this year’s Barcelona Motor Show on May 12.
Just like the wagon version, the Hyundai i40 Sedan is born under the automaker’s new slogan (‘New Thinking. New Possibilities’) and it incorporates the new ‘Modern Flow’ and ‘Premium Wing’ design concepts.
According to Hyundai, the i40 Sedan will offer high levels of interior comfort, due to the fact its wheelbase measures 2,77 m. In fact its best in class dimension indicate that front head, should and leg room are 1025 mm, 1,455 mm and 1170 mm respectively.

Volkswagen Polo R WRC Concept
VW wants to enter one of the toughest motorsports from 2013, the World Rally Championship, and it has already presented the model perfect for the job : the Volkswagen Polo R WRC.
The car which the automaker still calls a concept was presented in Olbia in-front of 200 journalists where Luca de Meo, Head of Marketing of Volkswagen AG said : “Almost exactly two years ago, in May 2009, the most recent model of the Polo was presented here in Sardinia. Today we are proud to show you the hottest Polo of all time – the Polo R WRC.”

Porsche Cayman S Black Edition
The latest Black Edition Porsche coming out of Stuttgart is based on the Cayman S. The automaker’s special edition mid engine coupe will be limited to 500 exemplars, and deliveries are scheduled to begin in July, 2011.
Powered by the same 3.4-litre 6-cylinder boxer engine, the Porsche Cayman S Black Edition delivers an additional 10 HP (7 kW) and a total of 330 HP (243 kW) at 7,400 rpm while its maximum torque remains at 370 Nm at 4,750 rpm.

Video: Peugeot EX1 Nurburgring Record
Here is the official video marking the French automaker’s new record set with the Peugeot EX1 on the Nurburgring.
Powered by two electric motors (125 kW each) delivering a total of 340 bhp (250 kW) and 240 Nm of torque, the Peugeot EX1 has managed to lap the Nurburgring – Nordschleife track in Germany which is 20.832 kilometres long and comprises of 73 bends in 9:01:338. This means the EX1 traveled at an average speed of 138,324 Km/h and it was around 50 seconds faster than the previous electric speed record (9:51.45) set in 2010.

Video: History of AMG
Mercedes-Benz USA has published a video in which it presents the history of its AMG performance division.
The 6 minutes long footage goes back to 1967 when AMG was formed in Germany as a company specializing on racing engines and takes us through the years presenting the various stages in its evolution.
Some of the most notable steps in its history took place in 1990 when AMG signed a contract of cooperation with Daimler Benz AG and also in 2010 when the SLS AMG GT3 was introduced as a customer sports racing car. To get a better picture and understand what helped AMG become the company it is today, you’ll have to check out the video below.

Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster
Daimler has published the first batch of official photos with the Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster which will premiere at the IAA in Frankfurt on September 13th, 2011.
This soft top version is still slightly disguised, with black camo covering the headlights and taillights as well as the automaker’s logos, but the area that has changed when compared to the coupe version, is clearly visible. Gone are the Gullwing doors, as the metal roof has been replaced with a fabric top, and in order to maintain rigidity the automaker has paid extra attention on reinforcing the chassis and adding a series of enhancements that would help maximise safety in case of a crash.

Renault Twizy Review Video
FifthGear’s latest review involves a strange looking electric city car called the Renault Twizy. This French two seater is barley bigger than a motor bike but has more in common with a car, as it features four wheels, a steering wheel, crumple zones and even an airbag.
With a turning circle of just 3.4 meters, and front wheels visible from the driver’s position, the Renault Twizy can easily make its way around crowded areas. Its 15 kW electric motor placed under the driver’s seat provides instant torque while its suspension could be a little hard, but necessary considering the Twizy is rather tall.

Mercedes G Class BA3 Final Edition and Edition Select
The German car maker is introducing two new special editions Mercedes G Class. These are called the BA3 Final Edition and Edition Select and feature various AMG elements along with an ‘extensive stainless steel package’.
The Mercedes G Class BA3 Final Edition is based on the short wheelbase model and as the designation suggests, these will be the final exemplars of the classic off-roader that has been available on the market for 32 years.

McLaren MP4 12C GT3 Detailed Specifications
McLaren Automotive is offering detailed specifications regarding the MP4 12C GT3 racer, a car born from the collaboration with McLaren Racing and CRS Racing which features F1 technology and has been homologated for competing in 2012.
Built for the FIA GT series the McLaren MP4 12C GT3 has been extensively tested at the Navarra circuit in Spain, while the first official debut was at Silverstone in UK.
Besides the numerous motorsports derived adaptations which include a more aerodynamic body (fully made from carbon fiber), a stripped down interior, upgraded brakes and suspension, improved steering and weight distribution, the McLaren MP4 12C GT3 has also received a Formula 1 steering wheel mounted with paddle shifters that operated the 6 speed sequential transmission.

Lamborghini Aventador Review
