Citroen DS5 Interior Photos
Here are some fresh leaked photos showing the Citroen DS5 interior. We are already familiar to what the car looks like from the outside, as we’ve seen it during its debut at the Shanghai Motor Show a couple of months back, so it is now interesting to also see the kind of effort the French have put into designing its interior in order to make sure this will be one of the most luxurious five-door hatches on the market.
Some of the most striking elements inside the cabin include the leather seats which feature unique ‘wrist-watch / bracelet stitching’, and the new center console that combines leather, wood and aluminium and which somehow resembles the one in the Porsche Panamera.
2012 BMW M5 UK Price
The Bavarian automaker has announced the UK pricing for the 2012 BMW M5 which will be seen for the first time in public at The Goodwood Festival of Speed between July 1 to 3.
Fitted with the most advanced and powerful engine ever to come out of the M performance division, the 2012 BMW M5 uses a high-revving 4.4-litre V8 that unleashes 560 HP and thanks to which the German premium executive saloon accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 4.4 seconds and from 0 to 124 mph in 13 seconds.
Chevrolet Colorado Rally Concept Pickup
GM presented an even hotter version Chevrolet Colorado at this year’s Buenos Aires Motor Show in Argentina. The North American automaker calls this the Rally Concept, and it represents a rough terrain, double-cab pickup truck developed in collaboration with GM’s design team from South America.
Some of the features that helped the Colorado become a meaner machine include high-performance shock absorbers, and adjustable suspension system, bumper tow winches, acrylic windows, and 18 inch wheels wrapped in off-road 305/60 R18 tires.
Mercedes GLS info
Mercedes-Benz is set to extend its line-up of dedicated SUVs with a new BMW X6-rivalling model called the GLS, according to highly placed sources at the German car maker.
The Brits from Autocar say that Mercedes is planning a new line of dedicated SUVs which will compete against the BMW’s well selling X6.
According to the same source, this new model will be called the Mercedes GLS, and will enter the market in around 3 years. The GLS will be based on the new M Class, but will represent of sportier iteration of the newly introduced SUV.
Megane RS 265 Trophy sets FWD Nurburgring Record
Renault has introduced the limited edition Megane RS 265 Trophy only two weeks ago, and they have already achieved great performance with this car.
In fact they have set a new track record with the Megane RS 265 Trophy which managed to lap the Nurburgring Nordschleife track in Germany in 8 minutes 08 seconds with Laurent Hurgon (development driver at Renault Sport) behind the wheel.
World Record for Longest Car Drift set in Mercedes C63 AMG
Mauro Calo, test driver at Mercedes Benz, has smashed the existing world record of 394 meters for the longest car drift, by driving a Mercedes C63 AMG sideways around the track for almost 8 laps.
He managed to total a distance of 2,308 meters, an impressive achievement which will most likely seal his name in the record books for a long time. The place where it all happened is a complete 360 degree circle of tarmac at the Handling Circuit at Mercedes-Benz World, Weybridge Surrey, so it remains to be seen if the Japanese, the inventors of drifting are now feeling challenged by this record.
2011 Lexus LS 460 Touring Edition
In an effort to make the Lexus LS appealable to a wider audience, Toyota has launched the Touring Edition, a limited run model based on the rear wheel drive variant, which will arrive at dealerships across the US in late June/early July.
Fitted with 19 inch, 5-spoke design alloy wheels and featuring a sportier looking body kit, along with a new front grille, the 2011 Lexus LS 460 Touring Edition can be yours for 73,000 USD plus the 875 USD handling and delivery charges.
2012 Chevrolet Sonic Price
GM has put a price tag on its 2012 Chevrolet Sonic, with the new subcompact model, in both sedan and hatchback form, scheduled to go on sale across the USA this fall.
For the 4-door sedan the 2012 Chevrolet price starts at 14,495 USD while the hatch costs 900 USD more, as its sticker reads 15,395 USD.
Available in three equipment grades (LS, LT and LTZ) the new Sonic comes with 10 airbags and On Star as standard, along with a 135 HP 1.8-litre 4-cylinder plant backed by a 5-speed manual gearbox (optional 6-speed auto also offered) as the source of power for the base versions.
MINI Countryman by Wetterauer
The German tuners from Wetterauer Engineering GmbH have materialized a series of visual and performance upgrades on ther Cooper S All4 version MINI Countryman.
They have begun by bringing the output level to 235 PS and 355 NM of torque (up from 184 HP and 240 Nm) by fitting the MINI Countriman with a carbon air box from BMC and a custom exhaust system with matte colored end pipes which features a 200 cells sports catalyst.
2012 Toyota Yaris Photos
Toyota has unveild a pair of official photos with the 2012 Yaris, previewing both the exterior and interior of their next generation compact car.
Based on the automaker’s claims, the 2012 Toyota Yaris will be ‘compact outside and spacious inside’ and will offer affordable multimedia connectivity through the new Toutch & Go system which continas a 6.1-inch toutch screen display that will fitted as standard on 95 percent of sales.
The engine lineup for the 2012 Toyota Yaris will contain three eco-friendly choices, and these are represented by two petrol VVT-i plants with a capacity of 1.0-litre and 1.33-litre respectively, plus a 1.4-litre D-4D diesel.
The exact performance figures and emission levels remain unknown at this point.
Production for the 2012 Toyota Yaris will take place at the Valenciennes plant in France, and the automaker specified that this new generation uses higher quality materials, and a more driver-focused cockpit.
