The latest trend in naming supercars these days is using weird names from ancient languages. Pagani has done it with their latest Huayra which means wind in the South American language of Quechua, and now Shelby Supercars is doing the same thing with their new SSC Tuatara.
As the company explains, the Tuatara name comes from the Maori language and it means ‘peaks on the back’ as a direct reference to the shape of the winglets on the back of the new SSC. Also the Tuatara is a lizard that has the fastest evolving molecular structure of any animal and the fastest evolving DNA on the planet.

2012 SRT8 Versions Chrysler 300 Dodge Challenger and Charger and Jeep Grand Cherokee Priced
The North American manufacturer has announced US pricing for the 2012 SRT8 versions Chrysler 300, Dodge Challenger/Charger and Jeep Grand Cherokee.
The 300 SRT8 starts at 47,995 USD and for that amount you’ll get a 6.4-litre HEMI V8 under the bonnet which will produce 470 HP and 470 lf-ft of torque. In you want those figures translated into performance, then the 300 SRT8 will do nought to 60 mph in around 4.9 seconds (“high 4-second range”) while top speed if 175 mph.
BMW M3 Coupe DTM Concept

Audi A5 Coupe DTM Concept
Ingolstadt’s four ring automaker has offered a few renderings with the Audi A5 Coupe DTM Concept, a car codenamed the ‘R17’ which will premiere at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show and which represents the replacement for the old 4-door version A4 which won the DTM four times since 2004.
Some of the few details that have been made available so far mention the fact that the Audi A5 Coupe DTM Concept features a high strength carbon fiber monocoque and a steel tube roll cage while power will be provided by a V8 engine rated at approximately 460 HP.
MEC Design Mercedes CLS 500
Even though the new generation Mercedes CLS has been out on the market for some time now, the German tuners from MEC Design have decided to create one last bodykit for the previous version.
The base model is the Mercedes CLS 500 and the list of exterior enhancements starts with a set of modified bumpers, which include LED fog lights and day lights at the front along with an ‘Extreme diffuser at the back plus new side skirts, a three piece trunklid spoiler and a rear roof spoiler.
Opel Combo
The new generation Opel Combo has been unveiled today by the German automaker who says the car will be available in two body styles, with two wheelbases and roof heights and six efficient engines to choose from.
The new Opel Combo measures 4.39 or 4.75 meters in length, is 1.85 m or 2.10 m tall and has a wheelbase of 2,755 mm or 3,105 mm. The car is available as a cargo van or with five or seven seat configurations, with one or two optional sliding doors for the van variants and sliding doors and a top hinged tailgate for the passenger versions.
Renault Wind Roadster Gordini Price
Renault has unveiled a new Gordini model this time based on the Wind Roadster. The car is available with both the automaker’s 1.2-litre and 1.6-litre engines and features an ingenious rood which closes in only 12 seconds and does not shrink boot capacity when open.
The Renault Wind Roadster Gordini price starts at 12,995 GBP and apart from the Malta Blue metallic paint and the twin white Gordini stripes (Pearl Black and Glacier White also available) the car also comes with the usual Gordini badges, white door mirrors, grille trim and cowls, 17 inch alloys and various glossy black inserts.
