Italian supercar maker Pagani Zonda announced that their Pagani Zonda R has set a new record on the Nurburgring track with a lap time of 6 minutes 47 seconds.
This means that the newly crowned ‘king’ of the Nurburgring Nordschleife is almost 11 seconds faster than the previous record holder, which was the Ferrari 599XX which managed to complete one lap in 6 minutes 58 seconds.
The record braking Pagani Zonda R was equipped with Pirelli P Zero tires and we hope an official video with this achievement will get posted soon.
There is no doubt that the Pagani Zonda R is truly impressive, as the 6.0-litre V12 AMG engine that produces 740 horsepower and 710 Nm of torque enables this unique, limited edition monster to rocket from 0 to 100 Km/h in 2.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 350 Km.h
The Pagani Zonda R almost holds a record braking price as well, as it costs around 1.5 million Euros.
