Its official, Nissan Leaf will be going into production in Japan this summer.
The only upgrades to the new model will be an aerodynamic body kit with styling influenced by the electric Leaf RC racer and new alloys and interior tweaks. So there is no extra power or performance upgrades planned.
The officials said that the firm would gauge reaction to the model in Japan and based on this feedback they will decide whether the Leaf Nismo will be launched in Europe or not.
Although the Leaf RC was previously confirmed as a one-make race series, Shoichi Miyatani (Nismo chief) said this probably won’t happen after all.
