One of Nissan’s surprises at this year’s Geneva Motor Show (apart from the Hi-Cross), is the Invitation Concept.
In this case we are looking at the company’s next generation mainstream B-segment contender, a vehicle which will join the Micra and the Juke on the European market in 2013.
The Concept combines dynamic design and packaging with well balanced performance, although Nissan dis not provide any exact details on what that really means. The Japanese car maker has only specified that once it hits the market, one of the production versions Nissan Invitation will aim towards CO2 emissions below 100 grams per Km.
The Invitation Concept measures 4,1250 mm in length, 1,740 mm in width and 1,470 mm in height and features a dynamic silhouette enhanced by a distinctive character line (‘Squash Line’) plus it has sculpted bumpers and a panoramic glass roof.
In terms of technology some of the systems include Nissan’s Around View Monitor (AVM) which makes reversing and parallel parking easy, plus the car incorporates the automaker’s Safety Shield Technologies which interact with the environment and keep the driver aware of what is going on around the car.
