Back in July 2022, Nissan and Chris and Julie Ramsey have announced a new extreme trip. This time, the British explorer decided to take an electric car and run it from the North magnetic Pole to the South Pole.
We don’t know which route will he and his wife will took, but we do know they will travel about 17.000 miles. The car for the job is the new electric SUV Ariya.
In order to reach into the off-road, the car gained new suspensions, new wheels, some special underbody protections and some unique equippment for carry different stuff. Two Ariyas have been made: one for the main crew, and one for the assistance crew.
The battery and electric motors have remained untouched.
The expedition is set to begin in the following months.
Chris and Julie Ramsey are electric enthusiasts. A few years ago, they have competed in the Mongol Rally and finished it.
