While Nissan is concentrating all its energy and resources in supporting the most popular sport in the world, football, Mitsubishi is looking for other ways of promoting itself. And through another sport, very important in the UK.

Mitsubishi UK is supporting the England Rugby Team and is now using ‘Intelligent Motion’ to test the team ahead of the Old Mutual Wealth Series by putting players through a series of alternative performance tests.

England Rugby Captain, Dylan Hartley and fellow teammates, Jonny May and Alex Goode were challenged by Head Coach Eddie Jones to meet ‘England’s biggest fan’ at the MIRA Transport Technology Centre in Nuneaton.

The England Internationals put their skills to the test through a series of intuitive challenges up against a 45 mph wind, courtesy of the UK’s only full scale aerodynamic wind tunnel. The challenges, in the extreme conditions generated by England’s biggest fan, included trialling their quick feet drills, target practice and hand eye co-ordination.

Combining the Mitsubishi Motor brand’s heritage in innovation and technology with England Rugby head coach, Eddie Jones’ intelligent intuition for the game, the players’ reactions, accuracy, and agility were all performance tested.

As Performance Partner, Mitsubishi Motors will also be supporting the next generation of England players, as principal partner and front of shirt sponsor of the England U20s, U18s, and elite player pathway.
