Mitsubishi Motors UK have just announced a special edition ASX featuring various stying tweaks and a bespoke interior called the Mitsubishi ASX Black.
This new version which is based on the ASX4, achieves a more dynamic appearance through elements such as 17 inch black alloys and a satin black styling kit which addresses the roof, spoiler, mirrors, grille and the fog lamp bezels.
The interior was enhanced with a black leather kit and various carbon fiber inserts and according to Mitsubishi this newcomer will be available in the UK starting from today, November 11th, 2011.
There are six colour choices available for the Mitsubishi ASX Black (Kingfisher Blue, Polar White, Cool Silver, Amethyst Black, Atlantic Grey and Orient Red) while the engine range includes a 1.6-litre petrol rated at 115 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 114 lb-ft at 4,000 rpm plus a 1.8-litre DiD turbodiesel capable of producing 147 bhp at 4,000 rpm and 221 lb-ft between 2,000 and 3,000 rpm.
These engines are Euro 5 compliant, with the petrol offered with a 5-speed manual, and the diesel linked to a 6-speed manual.
Standard equipment on the Mitsubishi ASX Black includes a sat-nav system from Kenwood, iPod connectivity, Mitsubishi’s Active Stability and Traction Control system (M-ASTC) and a reverse parking camera.
The ASX Black costs only 1,000 GBP more than the current ASX4 which means it starts at 21,099 GBP and can reach 25,399 GBP.
