Mini has published the first pictures and details of the all-new Cooper electric. The car is new, so there are some interesting exterior and interior changes.
On the inside, you’ll see a new dashboard with a new and modified central round screen. This time, the infotainment system is based on Android Automotive, a first for the BMW Group.
Just like the Countryman EV, the new Cooper EV will be available with two different engine power. The base model has one electric motor with 181 horsepower, while the top of the line will also use one motor but with 214 horsepower.
Thanks to a floor-mounted 40.7 kWh battery pack, the Cooper EV will be able to travel up to 189 miles with one charge. The car can be charged with 75 kW at DC. If you are going for the top of the line variant, this features a bigger battery (54.2 kWh) and the calculated range is at 249 miles. The DC charging can be done at station with 95 kW.
