Mercedes and the performance arm Mercedes-AMG have big plans in terms of electrification. To be more specific, this Vision AMG concept car is here to preview a future performance electric model.

“With this study, we are now offering a first glimpse of how we are transferring the AMG DNA into the all-electric future, starting in 2025,” Philipp Schiemer, CEO of Mercedes-AMG

The concept car is based on the dedicated AMG.EA architecture, and the power comes from axial flux motors from the Mercedes subsidiary YASA.

There are no details in terms of performance, but the car manufactuer claims hese units produce “substantially more power than conventional electric motors.”

For now there are no details about a future production model based in this concept, but we are sure that the technologies seen on it will be soon found on some mass market cars.
