In 1993, Mercedes-Benz unveiled the first G-Class with a V8 egine. It was named 500 GE V8. Now, in order to celebrate the 30th birthday of this configuration, the German manufacturer unveiled a special edition of the G Class.
But there is another important thing: the new G500 V8 Final Edition will be the last G Class built with a V8.
The new G500 V8 Final Edition will be produced in 1,500 units, and customers will offer three different exterior colors: Obsidian Black, Opalith White Magno, and Olive Magno – each capped at 500 units.
The car also comes with special 20 inch AMG wheels, and badges with the name of the edition.
Inside there is leather on nearly every surface, a unique Burmester surround sound system, two-tone seats, and a leather headliner.
Under the hood there are no changes: the win-turbo, 4.0-liter V8 continues to make 416 horsepower (310 kilowatts) and 610 Newton-meters (449 pound-feet) of torque.
The model will be produced from September until March 2024.
