EVO Magazine reviewer Chris Harris has taken the latest generation G Wagon, the Mercedes G350 BlueTEC or a ride on both rough terrain and public roads, telling us what he thinks about this technologically updated version.
Thanks to its V6 powerplant which features the AdBlue technology the Mercedes G350 BlueTEC produces 210 HP (155 kW) and 540 Nm of torque, and it does it in a way that is more friendly to the environment when compared to previous versions, as this new generation is Euro 5 compliant, meaning its CO2 emissions have been lowered.
Even though its preferred ‘playzones’ are the one involving severe off road terrains, the Mercedes G350 BlueTEC is also a very capable car on normal roads as well, and despite the fact it might not be as sophisticated as a Range Rover or a GL, this is still an SUV full of charm that will go from nought to 60 mph in less than 10 seconds and will reach a top speed of around 108 mph.
