Only one day ahead of Paris Motor Show, EuroNCAP published its latest crash test results. There were only two models tested by the organisation, both very important for the European market: the Mercedes E-Class and the recently introduced Peugeot 3008, expected to make its first public appearance in Paris.
The Mercedes-Benz E-Class comes with AEB across the range, and after rigorous safety testing gets the maximum five star Euro NCAP rating. The four door saloon is one of the safest cars ever tested by EuroNCAP, managing to obtain 95% of the total points awarded for protecting the the adult occupants.
The Peugeot 3008 also gets a five star rating. This small off-road has a speed assistance system and lane departure warning as standard, while AEB is available as an option.
Established in 1997, Euro NCAP is composed of seven European Governments as well as motoring and consumer organisations in every European country.
