Mercedes’s S Class Coupe model, now known as the CL, is turning 60 years old, and in order to mark this event the company has launched an special CL Grand Edition model which comes with designo paintwork and a series of unique features included in a package that costs 4,850 Euros.
The Mercedes CL Grand Edition is equipped with 20 inch light-alloy wheels (in 5-spoke or filigree 10-spoke designs) and various AMG bodystyling elements (AMG front and rear aprons and side sill panels) plus it is available with three designo paint finishes which include the platinum black metallic, mocha black metallic and the magno cashmere white colours.
The designo magno paintwork costs an extra 1,500 Euros over the 4,850 Euros figure specified above.
The car features the ‘Grand Edition’ badge at the back and comes with an exquisitely handcrafted interior enhanced through the usage of high-quality aniline leather. The car is also available with the full range of CL trim finishes, which includes the black ash and high-gloss burr walnut choices.
The engines that are available on the CL Grand Edition are the 435 HP, 4.6-litre biturbo V8 currently found on the CL 500 BlueEFFICIENCY version and the 5.5-litre 12-cylinder biturbo plant rated at 517 hp from the CL 600.
