In 2017 AMG Division will celebrate its 50th anniversary and this is why the Germans have decided to come up with a special hypercar. First of all we will tell you that the model will compete against the Aston Martin Red Bull 011.
According to an inside source, the car is currently in its final stages of design. Under the hood of the German model will be the same 1.6 liter V6 engine that is currently under the W07 Formula 1 model. The petrol engine is delivering about 1.000 horsepower and it will be backed-up by two electric motors. Each one is placed over the front wheels and they will deliver about 160 horsepower.
According to the same sources, the Ger
man hypercar will have about 1.000 kilograms and will be able to run up to 350 km/h. More than that, the hypercar will be able to accelerate from not to 100 km/h in under 2.5 seconds. We are waiting for this project to be confirmed by Mercedes-AMG and potential buyers can expect a price tag of about 5 million USD.
