A few days ago we have announced you that Mercedes-AMG is working on a supercar is order to celebrate their 50th anniversary. Today, the guys from Automobile Mag are coming with new details.

The hypercar is internally known as R50 and it was developed in order to close the gap between a road-going supercar and a Le Mans prototype.

The hypercar will have a curb weight under 2,900 pounds and the power will come from one or two sources. Some are expecting a V6 1.6 liter Formula 1 engine combined with electric motors, while other are saying that the model will feature the impressive 2.0 liter turbo engine.
