Melkus, a German sports car manufacturer which resides in Dresden has decided to expand its model range, which comprises of only the RS2000, with the addition of a Black Edition variant.
The RS2000 Black Edition features a piano lacquer paint finish achieved by applying six layers of clearcoat and a carbon fiber body kit while on the inside the car comes with black leather seats, unique door entry sills and an Alcantara roof lining.
There are also various piano lacquer and carbon fiber elements applied throughout the cabin, while in terms of motorisation the car can be ordered with either Volkswagen of Opel sourced 2.0-litre turbocharged engines. Both engines are rated at 300 HP and use a six-speed manual to transform power into motion.
The Melkus RS2000 Black Edition which by the way, also comes with a high-performance braking system, takes 4.5 seconds to sprint from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) and is able to reach a top speed of 168 mph (270 km/h).
Its price starts at 149,900 Euros, the equivalent of around 195,000 US.
