British automaker McLaren has just announced the launch of a new division called Special Operations responsible for delivering bespoke projects based on the company’s sports cars.
The first example of what the McLaren Special Operations division is all about was presented at this years Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, and we’re talking about a special MP4-12C model featuring a Volcano Orange body finish and a range of bespoke carbon fiber upgrades.
The unique bespoke treatment involving the MP4-12C presented in California also includes the addition of a gloss black roof, diamond cut finish wheels, carbon sill panels, steering wheel and front wheel arch louvres plus carbon fiber made engine cover vents and wiper system cover.
Paul Mackenzie, Programme Director at McLaren Automotive said that "McLaren Automotive already offers 12C customers extensive options to
personalise their car. However we recognise some owners have specific
tastes and we have the knowledge and capability to design, engineer and
produce almost anything a customer may desire for their 12C."
