Mazda has officially unveiled at the 2015 SEMA Show two interesting concepts. We are talking about the Mazda MX-5 Spyder and MX-5 Speedster.
The main idea behind these two prototypes is to highlight the Miata’s lightweight construction through additional derivatives. As you expect, the new concepts have drawn their inspiration from vintage roadsters.
According to Mazda, the MX-5 Spider concept weights 1.043 kilograms and was painted in Mercury Silver. It also has some carbon fiber aerodynamic body kit and has 17 inch ADVAN Racing RS II wheels wrapped in Yokohama tires. More than that, the concept has received Brembo brakes and adjustable coilovers. Inside the cabin, the convertible concept is featuring Spinneybeck PRIMA natural full-grain leather upholstery.
The Speedster concept has just 943 kilograms and it features a wind deflector instead of the tradition windscreen. More weight was shaved off by installing carbon fiber doors and seats and 16 inch set of RAYS 57 Extreme Gram Lights wheels wrapped in Kumho Ecsta tires.
