Mansory unveiled a “complete vehicle conversion” named the Defender Black Edition, which is based on the Land Rover Defender V8. Production is limited to only ten pieces. The Black Edition, as the name indicates, is finished entirely in black.
The tuner created a dramatic new bodykit for the Defender, beginning with a significantly altered grille painted black and accompanied by new air intakes. Mansory has also added a few bronze highlights to the modified Defender, as well as a lightweight carbon fiber hood, front lip spoiler, side skirts, widened arches, mirror caps, and rear diffuser. A pair of new LED fog lights and a prominent splitter round off the changes.
The Defender Black Edition sits on “FD.15” rims and a set of black wheels measuring 24×10 inches and covered in 295/30 high-performance tires.
The inside has also been beautifully remodeled. The carbon and leather sport steering wheel, sport aluminum pedals, and LED lights in the headliner reflect the sky and the Mansory insignia. Soft Alcantara covers the door panels, dashboard, seats, and headliner, while orange contrast stitching and piping offer a pop of color.
The upgrades are completed by a number of modifications to the Defender’s 5.0-liter V8 engine, which now produces 650 horsepower and 642 lb-ft of torque. This translates to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.7 seconds and on to a peak speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).
