British sports car manufacturer Lotus has launched a new special edition model named the Exige S Type 72 as a tribute to their most successful F1 car ever, the Lotus Type 72 Formula One car.
The Lotus Exige S Type 72 weights only 935 Kg and the powerfull supercharged intercooled engine with a rev limit of 8500 rpm enables it to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 145 mph.
The Sport Pack comes as standard on the Lotus Exige S Type 72 and includes a bespoke high quality interior, a T45 steel main roll hoop, Lotus Traction Control, twin oil coolers and an adjustable front anti-roll bar.
Among special elements the Lotus Exige S Type 72 features a commemorative plate and unique black and gold light weight wheels while on the options list customers can choose Air Conditioning, a Limited Slip Differential, the Performance Pack that boosts power to 240 PS, as well as larger AP Racing brakes and Lotus variable traction control and Lotus launch control.
