Autocar has reviewed the Lotus Evora S recently, testing it on public roads and on track, and it seems like the results are impressive.
Even though on the outside the Lotus Evora S differentiates itself from the regular Evora through the newly designed 18 inch alloys and the rear diffuser, underneath its metal skin is where the real differences are.
The Lotus Evora S is powered by a 3,5-litre V6 engine producing 350 bhp and 295 lb-ft of torque, figures that are enough to make it accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 4.6 seconds and onto a top speed of 170 mph. The car’s interior is starting to resemble with those seen on German models, the transmission and gear shifting have been tweaked and improved greatly compared to the Evora, plus we’re talking about the fact that the Lotus Evora S costs 58,500 GBP.
Even though it might sound like alot, Autocar’s journalists think it well worth it, considering the Lotus Evora S is somewhere in the Porsche 911 Turbo league in terms of performance.
