Lotus is showcasing their most powerful road car built so far, at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show. We’re talking about the Lotus Evora GTE which delivers 444 PS at 7,000 rpm and 420 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm from its supercharged 3.5-litre V6 featuring Dual-Variable Valve Timing.
The Lotus Evora GTE was initially created as a special edition for the Asian market, but due to increased customer interest(114 orders received in China in only a few days), the automaker has decided to increase production and deliver the car to other markets as well.
The Lotus Evora GTE is hand built and comes with a sequential AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) racing gearbox, forged alloy wheels with centre lock hubs, Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tires and numerous carbon fiber components that enable it to weight around 150 Kg less than the standard Evora.
The GTE version is also featuring more aggressive looking bumpers, a massive rear wing and a race themed interior that makes use of leather and carbon and which includes Recaro sports seats.
Even though it all sounds great, Lotus did not have the time to test the car yet, so we do not know its performance and consumption figures yet.
