Cam Shaft Premium Wrapping has created a black bolides car design for the Lotus Esprit which apart from glued advertisement, resembles the legendary John Player Special 97T that Ayrton Senna drove in 1985 in Estoril in which he won in Formula 1 for the first time.
The special design is also associated with the start number 12, while under the bonnet the 3,506 ccm V8 engine, rated at 354 HP (260 kW) and 400 Nm of torque as standard has been upgraded to 492 HP (362 kW) through software changes, tweaked turbo compressor pumps, a self designed compressor cooling system and also two 100-cell structure catalysts.
The car has also dropped the original 5-speed gearbox by Renault in favor of a 6-speed Dog-Engagement gearbox equipped with a longer total ratio, and as a result the 0 to 100 Km/h acceleration time and top speed have been improved from 4.9 seconds and 282 Km/h to 4.3 seconds and 305 Km/h.
High performance brakes with 330 mm perforated discs are also part of Cam Shaft’s upgrade program for the Lotus Esprit.
