Lexus has officially unveiled the 2024 Lexus RZ model year, which will be offered in two primary variants: the existing all-wheel-drive RZ 450e and the all-new front-wheel-drive RZ 300e. The new front-wheel-drive variant not only provides significantly better range but also costs less.
The entry-level Lexus RZ 300e has a single electric motor and a slightly different battery—a 72.8 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack. The front-drive variant is somewhat bigger in capacity than the all-wheel-drive version. The motor produces 201 horsepower, and the 300e can go up to 266 miles on a charge when coupled with the standard 18-inch wheels. The driving range is reduced to 224 miles with optional 20-inch wheels.
The 2024 Lexus RZ 450e Premium has an MSRP of $59,850 ($200 more than previously). The Luxury trim costs $430 more than previously, with a starting price of $65,580.
The all-new 2024 Lexus RZ 300e Premium FWD starts at $55,150, which is $4,700 cheaper than the 450e Premium AWD. That includes the standard 18-inch wheels; 20-inch wheels are $1,240. The Luxury trim starts at $60,880.
For 2024, Lexus introduced a new Copper Crest exterior paint color and provided a standard dual-voltage charging cable for 120V and 240V outlets. The driver assistance systems have also been enhanced, and adaptive cruise control can now better control speed around curves.
The 2024 Lexus RZ range will start on sale this month.
