Lexus has taken the limited edition LFA Nurburgring Package to Germany and tested it on the track after which it is named (the Nurburgring Nordschleife) in order to see how fast it is.
The driver tasked with spinning the limited edition LFA around the ‘Green Hell’ was professional racer Akira Iida who managed to achieve a lap time of 7:14.64.
Apart from a series of aerodynamic components, like a CFRP front spoiler and rear wing and a track tuned suspension the Lexus LFA Nurburgring Package also comes with a set of custom tires (Bridgestone Potenza RE070).
Each of the 50 units LFA Nurburgring Package come with 10 additional horses over that standard LFA,meaning that the 4.8-litre V10 produces 562 bhp instead of 552. The 0 to 62 mph acceleration time remains the same at 3.7 seconds.
These figures might not tell you much that’s why we will specify that the LFA Nurburgring package equipped model is over 8 seconds faster around the famous German track than the standard LFA, and is also the 4th fastest production car ever driven on the Nordschleife.
