Chinese automaker Landwind has officially unveiled a new picture gallery with the all-new X7 production version. As you may have read, Land Rover wasn’t too happy when the guys from Landwind have revealed the X7 in China.
The Asian model is just a copycat of the Range Rover Evoque and the British company wanted to sue them for blatantly copying their model design. In the end they have decided not to press any charges due to the rudimentary laws in China.
According to Landwind, the new X7 will go on sale next month and this is why we have the new picture gallery.
Design aside, the new Chinese model is a well-equipped model. It has a 10.2 inch touchscreen display, heated mirrors, electric parking brake, reverse camera, cruise control, GPS, Bluetooth, climate control system and keyless entry & start – all of which come as standard. If you decide to pay more, Landwind can install a sunroof, leather and heated seats, an 8 speaker sound system, a lane departure warning system and the tire pressure monitoring system.
Under the hood of the Landwind X7 is a 2.0 liter turbocharged petrol unit borrowed from Mitsubishi. It can deliver 190 horsepower and 250 Nm peak of torque. In standard the model comes with FWD and a six speed manual transmission. Optionally you can add an AWD layout and an eight speed automatic gearbox.
