The British journalists from Autocar have a couple of news regarding the Land Rover Freelander replacement. According to British magazine, the crossover will drop the Freelander name and will become a member in Discovery family.
Jaguar-Land Rover wants to create three separate brand identities and this decision is a part of this project. The replacement for the Discovery will be based on the Range Rover PLA platform, while the Freelander replacement will probably ride on the LR-MS architecture.
According to the same magazine, the British car maker is working on two versions, a five and seven seat variant.
Land Rover Freelander replacement will come with a variety of AJ-200 four cylinder units and it will be unveiled late next year.
