Lamborghini chief test driver Giorgio Sanna has revealed that the new Huracan will get two RWD versions. The interview was made by our colleagues from EVO at the launch of the Huracan LP 620-2 Super Trofeo track car in Malaysia.
According to the source, the first RWD Huracan will be the Superleggera. It will also come with more power under the bonnet and with some weight loss. As a result, the new Huracan Superleggera will become a true contestant for the throne that we assume will be taken by the new Ferrari 488 GTB.
More than that, the Italian car manufacturer will also unveil a more affordable RWD version of the Huracan that is likely to be sold as the LP 610-2.
Until we will get some official statements, we must wait but this isn’t the first time that Lamborghini will do this trick. A few years ago we have seen the Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni which later evolved in an LP 550-2 model.
