Every year, JD Power publishes a ranking of best cars on the market, regarding their segment and the clients it addresses. Every ranking is based on clients oppinion and can reflect the building quality of one brand.
The small car segment is very crowded and disputed because the cars that compete here can offer their UK clients lower taxes and the opportunity to move free inside big cities, even if there is a congestion charge.
Kia Picanto is this year`s winner in the city car segment according to the J.D. Power 2016 UK Vehicle Dependability Study. The study, now in its second year, measures problems experienced during the past 12 months by original owners of vehicles in the UK after 12-36 months of ownership.
In addition to this, Kia have also been named the third most dependable brand overall in the 2016 Nameplate VDS Ranking, with just 80 problems per 100 vehicles tested within the study. These results follow on from the last year’s study, where Kia also finished in the top three most dependable brands.
Moving forward into the third quarter of 2016, Kia has refreshed and upgraded the Picanto with simplified model structures, extra equipment and new trim grades on its 5-door models. The Picanto now starts from £8,545.
