Believe it or not, Jeep has reached 8 decades since the first car they produced. The former Willys-Overland Co. signed a contract with the U. S. War Department on July 15, 1941, to begin production of the first military Jeep vehicle.
To commemorate its 80th anniversary and to honor this zero-emission goal, the Jeep brand uploaded an 80th Anniversary edition of the Jeep Life Electrified video, which debuted during the 2021 Stellantis’ EV Day event, on the Jeep brand YouTube channel. The video depicts the unique character of the Jeep brand’s electrification via the love story of a couple.
The Jeep brand’s evolution accelerated in this 80th anniversary year with the introduction of Jeep Wrangler 4xe, the Jeep brand’s exclusive and proprietary use of electrification applications to develop and produce the most capable, fun, and advanced 4×4 vehicles in the world, including the all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee, which will be unveiled at the 2021 New York International Auto Show.
The Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer, both seating eight passengers, are a luxury expansion of the Jeep brand. They draw on a great legacy of quality American workmanship, heritage, and refinement, while providing a best-in-class customer experience with a package of premium ownership advantages that go beyond basic VIP treatment.
The Jeep brand has expanded its worldwide product range over the previous decade with new nameplates such as the compact Jeep Renegade and the all-new Jeep Gladiator, the most capable Jeep truck ever. The brand also extended its manufacturing base, allowing customers in areas such as Europe, Brazil, India, and China to experience Jeep brand cars that are locally produced. The Jeep brand’s diversified product line and large production base, with 10 factories in six countries, enabling it to dramatically boost sales during a ten-year period.
Jeep is the authentic SUV with capability, craftsmanship, and adaptability for those who want amazing trips, built on 80 years of legendary heritage.
