Jaguar has launched two new performance packs for the Jaguar XJ
saloon at this year’s Dubai International Motor Show. These optional
packs are called Sport and Speed and apply to all engine variants except
the 510 PS XJ SC version.
The Sport pack brings a series of
aerodynamic improvements through components such as a splitter beneath
the rear bumper and a bootlid lip plus a few cosmetic changes like a
glossy black mesh for the front grille, lower grille and side vents, red
painted brake callipers, 20 inch diamond-turned, silver finish alloys
and newly designed twin exhaust pipes.
Inside the XJ the Sport
pack brings Jaguar’s Performance seats trimmed in softgrain leather,
which provide better support when driving at high speeds, Piano Black
trim, and various carbon fiber accents. the seats are both heated and
cooler and are available in ‘Jet over Jet’ or ‘Jet over Ivory’ colours.
The
sporty features contained by the Sport pack can be combined with the
Speed pack which will allow supercharged XJ models to go beyond their electronically limited top speed, so instead of 155 mph (250 Km/h) they will be able to reach 174 mph (280 Km/h).
