Jaguar is going to rival the current BMW 3 Series and Audi A4 with a new sedan, already called XE. The car will allow Jaguar to comeback in the medium car segment, where it failed to impress with its last X-Type model.
To tease the public and to prepare the market for the unveiling of a new premium sedan, the British manufacturer unveiled a first photo of the car, wearing a body wrap to cover the aluminium strcture. Not so many shapes can be discovered in the new photo, but we have a first proof that Jaguar will offer something positioned bellow the current XF.
The official debut will take place in autumn, during the paris Motor Show, while the first sales will begin in the early months of 2015. The future XE sedan will be the first model to feature the new Ingenium engine range, consisting in four-cylinder diesel and gasoline units.
Along this choices, the XE will also use the supercharged V6 engine, with a 3.0 liter capacity, ready to offer 340 or 380 hp.
