Infiniti will use this year Detroit Auto Show to introduce the concept of a future sedan, set to replace the ageing G series and to compete with popular names in the premium segment like the Audi A4, the BMW 3 Series or the Mercedes C-Class.
The new concept was already teased with a photo published by Infiniti, revealing the profile of the car. The car will abandon the G name and will follow the new naming strategy of the company. It will be called Q60 and be positioned under the Q70, the old M series.
Muscular lines are revealed in the silhouette of the Q60 Concept: pure, well-defined contours.
According to Infiniti, the new Q60 Concept expected at Naias 2015 has "overall proportions and full-sized wheels placed out at the corners of Q60 Concept to make an unmistakable design statement and add to the exhilaration of the performance coupe. This latest concept builds upon the design language seen on recent Infiniti concept cars, foreshadowing the strong visual consistency to be a key ingredient of products in the future Infiniti line-up.”
