Hyundai has unveiled a Veloster convertible concept at the 2012 LA Auto Show.

Called the Veloster C3 Roll Top Concept, the car has an innovative electrically folding canvas roof that can be retracted towards either the front or the rear of the car. As a standard Convertible three-door, the C3 has two doors on the passenger side and one on the driver’s side, but comes with a redesigned roof and boot.

Because the roof can slide all the way to the back of the car, or slide right to the front above the windscreen, the car has a lot of room for storage.

In terms of motorization, the car is powered by the same 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine as the road-going Veloster Turbo, which develops 184bhp and has a 0-62mph time of 8.4-seconds.
