Hyundai teases the new i40 Sedan through a rendering image unveiled ahead of the world premiere scheduled at this year’s Barcelona Motor Show on May 12.
Just like the wagon version, the Hyundai i40 Sedan is born under the automaker’s new slogan (‘New Thinking. New Possibilities’) and it incorporates the new ‘Modern Flow’ and ‘Premium Wing’ design concepts.
According to Hyundai, the i40 Sedan will offer high levels of interior comfort, due to the fact its wheelbase measures 2,77 m. In fact its best in class dimension indicate that front head, should and leg room are 1025 mm, 1,455 mm and 1170 mm respectively.
With an overall aspect that is mainly oriented towards the European market, the Hyundai 40 Sedan represents the next step in the evolution of the company’s ‘fluidic sculpure’ design principles. Allan Rushforth, Senior Vice President and COO of Hyundai Motor Europe said that "The launch of the sedan represents the next step of the i40’s
introduction to the European market, following the very positive
reception for the i40 wagon. The i40 sedan shares the same qualities
present in the wagon, including a dynamic design element, and broadens
the appeal of the i40 to buyers in the D-segment."
We’ll be back with official photos and detailed information regarding the new Hyundai i40 Sedan at the time of the show, so stay tuned.
